The airport

I never thought I'd be going on vacation to the Bahamas. I thought, We're the type of family to go only to boring places. But there we were, taking showers at three in the morning, last minute packing at 4, depart from the house at 5. Five, the streets are empty and there's enough light to bring forth the deep blue of the sky. It's peaceful...

Peaceful until we arrive at the airport and get bombarded by these little kids. =D But who can complain, it's fun being around them.

The view from above

A few hours later - you cannot discern the sky from the sea.

There's an island of the Bahamas

Clouds of whipped cream onl serve to remind me that I'm hungry.

The hotel

This place reeks of oppulence, wealth.. fortune. And look at our beautiful hotel view!!

It really was an amazing resort.. walking around, the place is filled with aquatic life integrated into the design of the whole area. A stroll to the beach and you'll find sea turtles and tropical fish lining the side of the walkways. A-mazeing.

boy oh boy oh boy

Upon arrival... we actually had to wait a few hours before getting into our room, then we took a nap, and THEN we wandered on to the beach. =D

The Dig

After dinner, it was exploring with Christian. See the water near the midpic? That's the Dig, the massive aquarium they had in Atlantis.

The end of the Dig led us outside, and Christian and I checked out this famous Mayan temple. It was nice watching those restless sharks.

Predators

The next day, I went exploring on my own time. Christian was being lazy. This was in the predator area. Swimming above you are sharks and other well.. predators of the sea.

Exploring on my own again.

This place is HUGE.
